Antonio 'Tony' Gualtieri
November 8, 1943 - June 26, 2014
GUALTIERI, Antonio (Tony)
Passed away peacefully after fighting a long courageous battle with cancer. With his loving and devoted wife Nina (Meli) by his side at Emmanuel House Hospice in Hamilton, ON, he passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the age of 70. He was a loving father to Louie, Anthony, Lisa and Dwayne Davies, Dominic and Jenna, John and Victoria, and Anna. Also stepfather to Carmela and Alfonso Tavormina, Josie and Charlie Puma, Joanne and Gary Puga. Dear brother to Mary and Santino Grande, Archie and John Celani, Nancy and George Visentin, Sam and Sandy Gualtieri, Joe and Tracy Gualtieri. Predeceased by his brother Alessandro and parents Anna (2011) and Giovanni (2001). He will be sadly missed by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and family in Italy, France and United States.
Tony was a great ten-pin bowler. He will be missed on the lanes by many bowling buddies.
Antonio’s family will receive friends at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME, 2250 Hwy 20, Fonthill (entrance off of Merrittville 905-892-1699) on Sun June 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate his life will take place in the funeral home chapel on Mon June 30th at 1:00 p.m. with entombment to follow.
