<div itemprop="description"><br />RAY, Carole-Ann (nee Haber) - Carole passed away peacefully on November 15, 2015, with her loving family by her side. She is survived by husband and best friend Barry, daughter Melanie Cullum (Kevin) of Kingsville, son Adam (Stephanie) of Welland, grandchildren Tristan and Riley Cullum and Tyler and Sydney Ray, sisters Sandra Craig (Rob) of Ottawa and Patricia of Vancouver. She was pre-deceased by another sister, Elizabeth, of Ottawa. Carole also leaves brothers-in-law Bryan (Lynn) of Vancouver and younger brother Randy (Janis-deceased) of Ottawa. <br /> <br />Daughter of Roy and Olga Haber (both deceased), Carole was born in Hamilton, Ontario on Sept. 8, 1945 and spent many years in Oshawa, Ontario where she attended Central Collegiate. With Barry, she graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Pharmacy, with a B.Sc.Phm in 1968 and had a distinguished 36-year career as a registered pharmacist with Tamblyn&rsquo;s in Toronto and various independents in Guelph, and since 1976 with Shoppers Drug Mart in the Niagara Peninsula. Carole retired from active practice in 2006. <br /> <br />She was a member of the Holimont Ski Club in Ellicottville, NY for 14 years and was active in a variety of pursuits including cottaging at Rays' Rock in the Kawarthas, skiing, roller-blading, gardening, sewing and daily walks with good friend and neighbour Joyce. She loved to travel to Asia, Australia, Europe, Central America, the U.S. and Canada&rsquo;s east and west coasts. Her favourite vacation spot was Windjammer Landing in St. Lucia where she spent two weeks annually with Barry and friends and family. <br /> <br />Carole was a sophisticated, kind and considerate person who always put her husband, children and grandchildren ahead of herself. She was a diligent student who academically was always near the top of her class. After graduating from pharmacy she was a caring and knowledgeable professional who was relied on by her patients and customers. <br /> <br />Friends may visit at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME (entrance off Merrittville Hwy at the corner of Hwy #20) 905-892-1699 on Thursday Nov 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. <br /> <br />A funeral service to celebrate her life will take place in the funeral home chapel on Friday Nov 20th at 11:00 am with burial to follow. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada will be appreciated by her family.
