<div itemprop="description">TANOUYE, James Edward - It is with heart felt sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jim on Mon June 06, 2016, at the age of 53. <br>Beloved husband and best friend to Maureen for 21 years. <br>He leaves behind his 2 children Granthin and Brittany. <br>Cherished brother to Sheila (Keith) Duerden, Janice (Gerry) Gamble, Rick (Annie) Tanouye, Tom (Kit) Tanouye and Art (Jennifer) Tanouye. <br>Special brother-in-law to Carol Jean (Ed) Vella-Belenchuk and Vernon Belenchuck. <br>Jim will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends. <br>Predeceased by his parents Richard and Kimiye Tanouye, and father and mother-in-law Carl and Rose Belenchuk and brother-in-law Kevin Belenchuk. <br>James worked as an industrial electrician with InverPower/SatCon in Burlington for 25 years. He finished his career at Blenkhorn & Sawle in St.Catharines. Jim most enjoyed his time being involved with Modified race cars in his youth and he also loved a good skidoo ride. <br>In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. His family will receive friends at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME (entrance off Merrittville Hwy at the corner of Hwy # 20) on Sat June 11 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of his life will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. followed by interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. If so desired memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be appreciated by his family.
