<div itemprop="description">MAKINS, Janet Phyllis- After a long courageous fight with pancreatic cancer, Janet Phyllis Makins (MacLean) is finally at peace. At 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday May 13, 2015 surrounded by her family at home, her battle ended. During her battle of over 17 months, Janet was able to travel to Mexico twice and enjoy fishing a number of times. Janet is survived by her loving husband and best friend for over 40 years, Steven Robert. Beloved mother of Kristy (Daniel), Stephanie (Jacob) and Cortney (Spencer). Cherished grandma of Myla, Mackenzie and Zoey. Dear daughter-in-law Of Robert Cecil Makins. Loving sister of Daniel (Michelle), Christine (Bob), Cathy (Gary) and Susan (Greg). Also survived by her sister-in-law Suzanne Makins. Janet is predeceased by her parents Daniel Charles and Phyllis Janet MacLean as well as her mother-in-law Illene Makins. Janet will be greatly missed by all other extended family and friends. The Makins Family invite friends to PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME (2250 Highway 20, entrance off Merrittvile Highway, 905-892-1699) on Monday May 18, 2015 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
