Warren Peachey Sr.
November 25, 1941 - July 27, 2013
Peachey, Warren Sr.
It is with deep sadness and love that our family announces the passing of Warren on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the age of 71 after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving husband of 50 years to Meredith (Mimi) Peachey and dear proud father of Deborah (Nadra) and Warren (Guadalupe), loving Poppa of Derrick, Miguel and Jacob Peachey. Brother of William (Carol), nephew of Arkel Farr (Dusty), brother-in-law to Al Godin (Patti), Bob Godin (Pat), Corinne Blackwell, Maureen Godin. He will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his mother Helen and father Derrick Peachey. Warren retired from T.R.W. after 33 years of service. He was a 33 year member of the Thorold Legion Branch #17. He was a very active volunteer in his community especially with" Friends of Linhaven", creating a beautiful vegetable garden and other gardens for the residents. He coached minor hockey and football and was a past president of the T.A.A.A. He was an avid golfer and loved playing with his son and grandsons. He was an outstanding Pickleball champion in Arizona. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Our family especially want to thank all of the Oncology Doctors and Nurses at the St. Catharines Niagara Health Centre and all of our wonderful family, neighbours and friends for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.
Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received on Friday, August 2, 2013 at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME AND CEMETERY, 2250 Hwy. 20 (at Merrittville, with entrance off Merrittville 905-892-1699) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy to celebrate Warren's life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers the family request any memorial donations be made to" Friends of Linhaven". Friends are welcome to share valued memories, photos and condolences at www.pleasantviewcemetery.ca.
