<div itemprop="description">Georgiev, Mike<br /><br />It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather. Mike was taken from us suddenly on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the age of 70 years. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years Beryl (Shotzi), his four sons Sandy (Rachel), Mark (Meghan), David and Christopher (Katie), his six grandchildren Callum, Brennan, Jaxon, Madoxx, Jada and Kyra and his best companion Tyson. Dear brother of sisters Danica Georgiev(Mite) and Nadia Keeney (Mike) and uncle to Robert and Blagica. Will be lovingly remembered by the Mackay, Roy and Harvey families. Mike was a devoted teacher with the Niagara District School Board of Niagara for 33 years. Mike came to Canada in 1968 seeking opportunities. He had numerous achievements throughout his years and was devoted to physical fitness, education and had a great love of the outdoors. The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to family, friends and volunteers. We would especially like to thank Adrian Verburg, J.J. Alexander, Patrick Maddalena, Ryan Nava, Travis Duncan and the Niagara Regional Police Service in assisting with the search.<br /><br />Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at Pleasantview Funeral Home, 2250 Highway 20, Fonthill (entrance off of Merrittville Hwy 905-892-1699) on Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. A Memorial Service to celebrate Mike's life will be held on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Pleasantview Funeral Home at 10 a.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
