<div itemprop="description">COLANGELO, Nicola (Nick) Lino - With heavy hearts, our family announces Nick’s passing on Monday, May 9, 2016 at the Welland Hospital at the age of 75. Loving husband of Rosa (nee D’Aloisio) for 51 years. Beloved father of Angelo (Carmela), Nancy Iacobucci (Tony), John (Connie) and Nick (Marie). Cherished Nonno of Adina, Sarah, Bianca, Tony Jr., Ava, Michael, Mia and Leo. Survived by his sisters; Nina Di Domizio (Gino) and Maria Torelli (Vincenzo). Predeceased by his parents Rosario and Nunziata Colangelo along with his siblings; Salvatore (Giuseppina), Yolanda (the late Livio) and Ida (Mario). Survived by his brother-in-law Enzo D’Aloisio (Connie), his sisters-in-law; Amira D’Aloisio (the late Ricardo) and Lena D’Aloisio (the late Tulio). Nicola will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Nick was a local hobby farmer. You could find him at the St. Catharines and Fonthill markets, watching the Toronto Maple Leafs or sitting quietly in his garden. Friends will be received at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME (2000 Merrittville Hwy, Thorold (905)892-1699) on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Friday, May 13, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with Vigil Prayers recited at 3 pm on Friday. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11 am at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church (834 Canboro Road., Pelham). Rite of Committal and entombment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
