<div itemprop="description">Kennedy, Thomas Francis<br />Passed away suddenly at the Welland Hospital on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the age of 81. Loving husband of Betty (nee Stewart) for 59 years. Cherished father and golf partner of sons, David (Shirley), Michael (Rhonda), Brian (Susie). Proud Papa of Jennifer Maksymiw (Andrew), Joe (Danielle), Kara Ritchie (Rob), Spencer (Tessa), Kasie Andrews (Alex), Michael (Breah), Bryan (Brittany) and Seanna (Ryan). Precious G'Pop of Peyton, Krysten, Brooke, Jack, Maddox, Barrett, Henry and Sawyer. Also survived by sister, Joyce Collings and brother-in-law Fred Martin. Born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan Tom moved to the Niagara area as a child and settled in Welland with Betty where they raised their family. Tom was employed at Atlas Steel for 40 years. A member of Welland Volunteer Fire Company #3, an avid golfer, bowler and dart enthusiast, Tom was an active, caring family man that always said &quot;I love you&quot; when giving a goodbye hug. Thank you to Welland Fire and Emergency Services, Niagara EMS, Niagara Regional Police, the ER Staff of Niagara Health System-Welland Site for their compassionate care.<br />Family will receive friends on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Pleasantview Funeral Home, 2000 Merrittville Hwy (corner of Merrittville and Hwy 20). A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Pleasantview Funeral Home. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
